it's not winter, quite yet

I do realize these two pictures are REALLY bad quality (I took them with a departed old friend, my blackberry phone that had the misfortune of going for one deadly swim with me). BUT think of this as a pre-post, like these crappy pictures are a prelude to a spectacularly well-photographed shoot. I promise I will soon put up nicer pictures. In the meantime, I am wearing an AA tank top, vintage skirt (I've had it since I was seven), a vintage belt, the black sweater and fur vest I can't remember where I got from.. Voila!

rock this

Latest obssession. I keep playing it over and over and over again. Just can't get enough of this wildly good sound.

Miuccia & Fernand

When I saw Fernand Leger's Les Loisirs at the Centre Pompidou the first thing that popped up in my head was Prada Spring 2011. The colors, the shapes, the motifs, the hair. Sick resemblances between the brainchildren of two super-talented artists. Really goes to show Art and Fashion do get along, and very well too.

marry me Abbey Lee

The dog-eared furry coats, the slouchy one-of-a-kind bags, the big sentimental jewelry, the fine animal prints, the long simple skirts and worn in lace-up boots... I think I might be in love.
Abbey Lee Kershaw stands somewhere in between the I-just-threw-this-on style philosphy and a more researched vintage feel take on styling. It seems she's understood what elegance in carelessness is all about and has re-interpreted it her way, in a more ornate yet just as sophisticated manner. There is something even insolent in the way she defies trends and challenges them with outifits that feel home-made. Beyond her toothy grin and distinctive pout, Abbey Lee has got a personality of her own that reflects in her way of dressing.
That just might be why I am so very amoureuse of this girl's style.
